OK.. Everyone talks about your New Years resolution. I will let you in on what works for me. I never look for a quick fix. I try, on a daily basis, and for only one day in mind, to do my best at keeping the best me. I strive for excellence by surrounding myself with people whom I admire. But the key word is STRIVE. No one is perfect and each day we have a new opportunity to try again... baby steps...
I will recommend a wonderful little book- "The Precious Present" which is simple yet profound and is a story about a little boy looking for the pefect present, thinking it is a toy, and in the end when he is older, he realized that the PRESENT is a gift that you give yourself each day by living in the PRESENT. The past is in the past- no matter how horrible. I have a person in my life whom I never want to forgive but I MUST for my own sake, so as to not live in resentment. The future is something to plan rather than PROJECT, and acceptance is the key to happiness for those things that we will never change. "Abandon all hope for a better past" is a saying that I have heard.
Wishing you a New Year filled with excellence!
