Household CEO
You all know how much I promote the job of the "Modern MOM" and that I refer to this job as the 'Household CEO of your own Family Corporation'.. as such, most heads of corporations don't handle every job within their company- so why is it that the Modern Mom usually insists on doing everything themselves? This only leads to frustration, stress and an overall ill-feeling.
Practical Advice:
Surround yoursself with the best "Team"- help can be in the form of friends, family, organizations and support groups that help all types of families, and paid help if your budget allows. It is OK to ask for help!
I like to spend the end of the summer getting super organzied- I typically have more time to plan, manage and get ready for a very busy time of year- the FALL. I find out where my "business of living" is weak, and look for solutions. I ask friends for help and referrals.
Also, make sure you time for yourself- as they say- you must put the 'oxygen mask on yourself first before you can help anyone else'.
Be well!
