What an AWESOME summer ending with a huge bang in SPAIN- the Rock of Gibraltar on one side and the Mediterranean Sea on the other- gorgeous Spanish people and food- Let's just say that I have a full, top half tan. WOW! What fun!
I am back and ready to attack my professional and personal life with all the positive energy I always love to have.
Fall is my favorite time of year but it can also be exhausting!
I like to visualize the tasks at hand and for me, I look at September through the Holidays as one big chunk of time. If I think about all that I have to do - even getting Christmas cards- then I am not surprised when it creeps up on me.
This time of year warrants a big organizational overhaul. (Check out my regular column in Fairfield County Home Magazine- "Devons Secret Services"). I always start with my closets and get rid of EVERYTHING I dont wear regularly. I love to buy high quality basics that last a very long time and then funk up my wardrobe with stylish and sexy pieces. Long, belted, snugly sweaters over leggings are a HOT look now- always worn with FAB shoes, of course! An excellent casual, chic look. I also love scarves, hats and gloves.. a classic and hip look. Just because you may be a MOM- how many kids?- you DON'T want to get too frumpy or crunchy- stay CHIC and SEXY- your husband will appreciate it- mine is so happy these days!
I have been wearing a lot of oranges and browns this summer which will work nicely into the fall and winter.
